WAHGUNYAH PUMP TRACK
This design is suitable for all skills levels, with a separated area for beginners, younger users and less confident users. The different shapes are designed to accommodate all skill levels, and can be used by a young person on a balance bike, and perhaps even encourage parents to dust of the skateboard or BMX they have in the garage. The facility is also designed to be accessible for wheelchair and adaptive users.
The maximum height of the rollers and berms is 900mm, so it is suitable for young users. This allows for clear sight lines for the transfer and hip sections. The focus of this design is to provide multiple line options and transfers so that even regular users can find new approaches. The design is also suited to experienced users at a higher skill level, with the main difference in approaches being speed.
While accessible to all users the hipped berms are a unique feature for advanced users. The mesh wallride allows for uninterrupted sight lines for passive supervision while making the space instantly recognisable as a landmark.
Track options are clear in the way they can be ridden, including optional lines for skills improvement. Seating has been added to encourage social interaction and active supervision, and the design is suitable for a variety of wheeled users including BMX, MTB, scooters, roller-skates and skateboards.
