RUTHERGLEN SKATEPARK EXTENSION
The Rutherglen skatepark is outdated and no longer caters to the growing regional user group. The below proposal was to generate funding. The funding proposal was successful and the skatepark extension is proceeding with a local contracted designer and builder.
The triangular shape incorporated the natural gully on site and enabled a skatepark that could be used as a continuous loop or used as a back and forth sections when busier. This layout utilised the modest budget to its fullest potential.
Essentials such as mini ramp, long flat bar, long manual pad/ledge, curbs, down rails and “hubbas”, banked and transitioned hips all featured in the design within the modest space and budget.
