GOOLGOWI PUMP TRACK

Goolgowi is a small regional town with a population of 400. The park is a central place for the community to gather and for the young people to gather and play after school. There is a fairly recent skatepark in the park, however there was an unmet demand for a pump track.

Pump tracks can have a variety of uses and cater to a wide range of user groups, ages and abilities. It was important to get it right so i travelled to the school and park for design workshops with the local stakeholders, parent, user groups and council members. The very modest budget was stretched to still include elements to aim for as the locals skills progressed, and younger users grew so they would continue to be engaged.
